Privacy
This site collects almost nothing. Here is exactly what it does collect, why, and how to get rid of it.
What the form collects
If you fill in the contact form, I receive what you typed into it:
- Your name
- Your business name
- Where you're based
- Your email address
- Your phone number, if you chose to give one. That field is optional.
- Whatever you wrote in the message box
That is the whole list. There are no hidden fields collecting anything else.
The form is handled by Web3Forms, a service that takes the submission and passes it to me by email. Your message goes through their systems before it reaches my inbox. They don't use it for their own purposes.
What I use it for
I use it to reply to you, and to work out what I'd build for your business if that's what you want. That's it.
I don't sell it. I don't share it with anyone. I don't add you to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies. Not one, for anything.
The only measurement on the site is Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without building a profile of you. It doesn't follow you to other sites, and it can't identify you personally.
There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no social network tracker, and no other third party watching what you do here. That's also why you aren't asked to accept anything.
How long I keep your message
I keep form messages for two years, then delete them. If we end up working together, I keep what I need for the business relationship for as long as it lasts, plus whatever period the law requires for records like invoices and contracts.
How to have your message deleted
Write to hello@missingpiecestudio.ca and ask. You don't have to give a reason.
You can also ask to see what I hold about you, or have something corrected if it's wrong. I reply within 30 days, the period Quebec law sets.
If you aren't satisfied with the answer, you can complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
Who is responsible
Under Quebec's Law 25, every business must name a person responsible for the protection of personal information. For Missing Piece Studio, that person is [LEGAL_NAME], reachable at hello@missingpiecestudio.ca.
